I’ve received a few questions about the wee baby Maeby, so here we go…
While a super sweet and extremely smart puppy, she wasn’t able to stay calm in the house if I was in the house and out of sight (even after much exercise, food, distracting toys/bones, etc) - and I work 7on7off overnights, and need to sleep a few hours during the day. I essentially didn’t sleep for three days straight due to her crying. After much discussion with the shelter, we decided it was best for both of us to give her up for adoption. She found a new home within two days. It’s more complicated than it sounds, and I certainly did not adopt a puppy on whim. This is the quick version. I was sad to have to give her up, but was desperate and needed to make a decision before she got more attached to me, my roommate, Uncle John, and the house - and we to her. House trained in 2 days, crate trained in 3. She knew sit, shake, stay, no, off, let’s go, and responded to her name. She would’ve been a wonderful companion, but the adjustment process was extremely tough for her and was proving impossible for me. Anywho, she’s adorable, so enjoy the pics.
